San Juan Island Air, an on-demand air charter company based in Friday Harbor, Washington, has again been recognized for its outstanding safety record by receiving the Aviation Safety Excellence Award from Phoenix Aviation Managers Inc., aviation insurance underwriters. The award was presented on January 24, 2005 following a periodic audit of operations.

This is the second consecutive time that San Juan Island Air has received this award. Since Phoenix began their aviation safety audit Everett/Paine Field recognized for their excellence. San Juan Island Air received the highest safety score ever awarded in these audits.
